Alyssa Valdez named MVP
for third straight year

Alyssa Valdez, graduating captain of the Ateneo Lady Eagles, bagged three awards at the UAAP 78 Women’s Volleyball Tournament at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, Pasay City on Wednesday, April 27.

In a live broadcast of the ceremonies, Valdez was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the two-round eliminations, Best Server, and Best Scorer.

De La Salle University’s Kim Fajardo was named Best Setter, while libero Dawn Macandili was both Best Digger and Best Receiver.

National University’s Jaja Santiago was awarded Best Spiker.

Freshman Isa Molde of the University of the Philippines was named Rookie of the Year.
