The Ateneo men’s volleyball team captured their second straight title as it swept National University in three sets in Game 2 of their best-of-three Finals series in UAAP Season 78 on Wednesday, April 27.

Finals MVP Ysay Marasigan, playing on his last year, led the Blue Eagles as they dominated the Bulldogs, 25-16, 25-20, 25-19, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Blue Eagles won the series opener last Saturday, April 17 in four sets, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-18.

It was the Blue Eagles’ third Finals appearance — all against the Bulldogs whom they now lead 2-1.

They have defeated the Bulldogs for the eighth straight time since last season.

The Blue Eagles ended the season with 14 wins in a row, with their lone defeat coming against the Adamson Falcons in the first round of eliminations.
