A Bangladeshi facing charges abroad for allegedly killing his own wife and child was arrested in Cagayan de Oro City, a radio report said early Friday, June 24.
Police said the suspect, identified as Asif Iqbal Ahmed, 37, also faces charges in his home country.
He had been staying at a rented apartment in Barangay Lapasan for the last several months, the report quoted police as saying.
Misamis Oriental provincial anti-illegal drugs and special operations task force head Inspector Rustico Gala-Gala Jr. said they had been conducting surveillance on Ahmed for eight months.
The police said Ahmed faces three counts of murder and human trafficking in Bangladesh, and for allegedly abusing his Filipina household helper. MC
