One internet security solution to protect five different devices against malware, dangerous sites, online tracking, fraud and online theft was launched by a cyber security firm.
Kaspersky Lab presented Kaspersky Internet Security 2017, the newest version of its flagship security solution last Tuesday, December 13.
“Kaspersky Lab Internet Security 2017 is equipped with new features designed to protect Filipinos and their devices. But more than installing an awesome security product on a device, being cyber savvy online matters the most. It is highly important to behave carefully online. Think security at all times,” said Anthony Chua Territory Channel Manager for the Philippines and Singapore at Kaspersky Lab Southeast Asia.
The internet security could be use to protect Windows, Mac, and Android. Among its features were the following:
Kaspersky’s internet security would benefit internet users who mostly travel or do business with their mobile phones or other devices using public wi-fi.
According to Kasperky Lab’s study, 18 percent of users has fallen victim to cyber criminals when traveling, one in five of them did not take any steps to protect their data online.
In order to address this issue, Kaspersky’s internet security encrypt all data sent and received through a network which disable traffic interception by strangers that could cause damage to users.
Software cleaner and updater
Users, who were always busy tend to lose time to check the software and applications installed in their devices. Those software and applications, if not regularly checked could give opportunity for cyber criminals to penetrate the system.
Once cyber criminals has penetrated the system, users’ data would be compromised.
Kaspersky Lab said that 37 percent of users store programs that they do not use on their device.
Software Cleaner scans all applications installed on the computer and marks those posing potential risk. Users sometimes do not even know about these applications being installed on their devices or are unaware of their negative effects.
Kaspersky’s internet security also automatically find the applications that need to be updated and, if the user agrees, install the latest versions from vendor sites on their computer.
