President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to visit Surigao City on Sunday, February 12 after the city was declared under a state of calamity as a result of a strong earthquake.

A radio report said that hundreds of people gathered at the Surigao Auditorium waiting for Duterte.

Surigao City was declared a state of calamity after a 6.7 magnitude quake jolted the province on Feb. 10.
