A women rights group gathered at the office of Senator Leila de Lima on Tuesday, February 14, to show support for the senator over her impending arrest.

De Lima has been on the hot seat for her alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade inside the New Billibid Prison (NBP).

Some of the members of the #EveryWoman movement showed their support for De Lima by wearing plastic handcuffs.

Among them: Former Social Welfare Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Soliman, former presidential adviser on the peace process Teresita “Ging” Deles, former Commission on Filipinos Overseas Chairperson Imelda Nicolas, and former Civil Service Commission Chairperson Karina David.

Separate complaints were filed against De Lima by the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), the National Bureau of Investigations (NBI), and former NBI officials.
