National Basketball Association (NBA) D-League developmental player Kiefer Ravena has congratulated his younger brother Thirdy Ravena of the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) after being named a member of the UAAP Season 79 Mythical Five as he rallied Thirdy’s team to snag a win from the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers who are one win away from the championship.

Congrats to the brodie @ThirdyRavenaaa for making it to this year’s mythical 5! Getting

Completing the Mythical Five were Paul Desiderio of the University of the Philippines, Far Eastern University’s Raymar Jose, Jeron Teng and Ben Mbala of the DLSU.

Cameroonian Mbala was also named Most Valuable Player while Aljun Melecio was Rookie of the Year.

Ravena, former captain of the Blue Eagles, is currently in the US to chase his NBA dream as player for the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks’ developmental team.

On one hand, Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Jeric Teng showed support for his brother Jeron Teng who sported a shirt with a graphic image of Jeric, which was posted on his Twitter account with caption: “Game 1 ✔✔✔#animoJT21”

Teng, who last played for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the PBA, was a shooting guard for the University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers in the UAAP

The crucial second best-of-three game between the Blue Eagles and the Green Archers is scheduled at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on December 7.
