Three-time UAAP Most Valuable Player and Ateneo Lady Eagle Alyssa Valdez may have had her heart broken after losing the women’s volleyball championship to arch rival, the La Salle Lady Spikers, but guess who was there to help her pick up the pieces?
Former Ateneo Blue Eagles captain ball Kieffer Ravena whose Instagram photo showed him and a smiling Valdez in Boracay with the caption: “Finally, yes.”
Ravena’s post was welcomed by fans of the couple whose reactions can also be summed up with a “yes!”
Below are some of them:

Ravena admitted courting Valdez in an episode of “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on October 30, 2015.
The 22-year-old Valdez ended her legendary UAAP career by relinquishing the UAAP crown to the Lady Spikers on April 30 after a five-year stint where she gave Ateneo back-to-back championships and three runner-up finishes — all against La Salle.
Ravena, 23, is currently playing for Mighty Sports in the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League.
In May 2015, Ravena, who was in a relationship with Lady Spiker Mika Reyes, revealed that he and Reyes broke up to concentrate on their careers.
After the break-up, speculation swirled that the hardcourt heartthrob had his eyes on Valdez, although both had denied that there was anything but friendship between them.
This also sparked a “rivalry” between Valdez and Reyes on and off the volleyball court although both claimed that the supposed tiff was nothing personal.
Reyes herself seemed to have found someone else, as she has been linked to Richard Juan, a co-host of UPFront, a segment which talks about the lighter side of UAAP 78.
