Magnitude 4.1 quake hits

A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck northeast of Digos City, Davao del Sur, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Thursday, February 16.

Phivolcs said the earthquake has a depth of focus of 17 kilometers which occurred at 2:27 p.m.

The quake, tectonic in origin, was felt at intensity 4 in Digos City and Davao City; intensity 3 in Malita, Davao Occidental; intensity 1 in Kidapawan City.

Phivolcs said there was no damage or aftershocks recorded after the quake.
