Nearly 10,000 people in Juban town in Sorsogon were affected by ash fall from the eruption of Bulusan Volcano last Thursday, June 23, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday, June 24.
The NDRRMC said Bulusan erupted from 9:00 a.m. to 9:18 a.m., sending dirty-white plumes that crept downslope west-northwest.

– 670 in Barangay Anog
– 1,946 in Barangay Cogon
– 1,246 in Barangay Embarcadero
– 830 in Barangay North Poblacion
– 802 in Barangay Puting Sapa
– 1,497 in Barangay Rangas
– 1,154 in Barangay South Poblacion
– 1,784 in Barangay Tughan
The Juban town disaster risk reduction and management council distributed 800 towels, safety goggles and 500 face masks to the affected areas, and was closely monitoring the situation.
