It was a Steve Harvey moment for The Oscars, as Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced “La La Land” as winner for the Best Picture instead of “Moonlight”.

Bonnie and Clyde stars Beatty and Dunaway announced La La Land as the winner because they had the wrong envelope which read “Emma Stone, La La Land”.

Stone actually bagged the best actress award at The Oscars.

Host for The Oscars Jimmy Kimmel joked: “Warren, what did you do?!”
“I opened the envelope and it said ‘Emma Stone, La La Land.’ That’s why I took such a long look at Faye, and at you. I wasn’t trying to be funny,” Beatty explained.

“This is unfortunate, what happened. Personally, I blame Steve Harvey for this,” Kimmel joked at the stage.

Kimmel was referring to the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night when Harvey announce the wrong winner.

Instead of Miss Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach, Harvey read the winner as Miss Colombia.
