Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is back in the Philippines after his win against American Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas, Nevada last April 10, a live broadcast of his arrival showed on Thursday, April 14.
Pacquiao arrived at about 5:30 a.m. on board Philippine Airlines Flight PR 103 from Los Angeles at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) where he was given a warm welcome. He was with wife, Jinkee, and his children.
Pacquiao gave a brief press conference before a motorcade took him to Makati, Manila, and Quezon City at about 8:30 a.m.
He will fly to General Santos City on Friday, April 15, to meet with his political team and discuss his senatorial campaign.
He is under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), with Vice President Jejomar Binay as the party standard-bearer.
Pacquiao has announced his retirement from boxing after his fight with Bradley to focus on his political career.
He is currently a congressman representing the province of Sarangani.
