Filipino boxing icon Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao is among the top 100 highest-paid athletes in 2016, according to Forbes in a post on its website.
Pacquiao, with salary/winnings of $21.5 million and $2.5 million in endorsements, is ranked No. 63 in the world, a notch above Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers and six notches above Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.
Pacquiao was also named among the most popular athletes in the world based on an ESPN survey.
Topping the list is soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, with $56 million in salary/winnings and $32 million in endorsements for a total of $88 million. He is also the most popular athlete, according to ESPN.
Another soccer superstar, Lionel Messi, is No. 2, with $53.5 million in salary/winnings and $28 million in endorsements for $81.4 million.
NBA superstar LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers is No. 3 with $23.2 million in salary/winnings and $54 million in endorsements for $77.2 million.
