The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) on Tuesday (May 2 ) said it will be conducting a stock market seminar on May 20 in Davao to encourage local investors to explore opportunities in the stock market.
PSE President and CEO Hans B. Sicat said the roadshow, entitled “Achieving Financial Freedom through Investments”, is among the investment literacy initiatives of the PSE.
“After our very well-attended roadshows in Luzon last year, we hope to visit more cities outside of Metro Manila. We chose to have our first roadshow this year in Davao because we believe that Mindanao will continue to show a lot of growth in the coming years. We hope that our investing literacy program will encourage potential investors based in the area to consider investing in the stock market,” said Sicat.
The Davao roadshow will showcase various topics related to the stock market like Investing Basics, Exchange Traded Funds, Dollar Denominated Securities, Investor Rights Protection, Online Trading, among others.
Stockbrokerage firms that are event partners of the roadshow will have representatives on site to answer inquiries on account opening requirements and stock trading.
The roadshow will be held at the SMX Davao Convention Center.
