The National Prosecution Service called on the prosecutors and their staff to stay safe and protect the records of their cases in preparation for the onslaught of Typhoon Ruby.

“I enjoin all prosecutors and their staff to ensure that records in their respective offices are not damaged and to adopt precautionary measures in the face of the coming Super Typhoon Ruby,” Prosecutor General Claro Arellano said in a text message on Saturday, December 6.

“But foremost, they should ensure first their personal safety and that of their families. Let us continue to pray that our country be spared from such calamity,” he added.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) had difficulty recovering the records of cases destroyed by Typhoon Yolanda.
