Filipinos in Metro Manila, Bulacan and Cavite who want to make their father feel special on Father’s Day on June 19 may want to try this: a visit from the Philippine Postal Corp.’s “Singing Karteros.”

PHLPost said the public can book the singing postal workers to treat their fathers to a “harana” or serenade, along with a cake and greeting card.

“Instead of the usual bouquet of flowers, the customers will now have the option of surprising their Fathers with a cake and a greeting card. And the Singing Kartero will also serenade them their favorite songs. And all of these are just for P2,000 only,” it said.

The “Singing Kartero” is part of PHLPost’s regular services, which also include mails and parcel delivery, electronic postal money order remittance and express mail.

However, senders should pre-book the date of the event. Mail will be delivered via Domestic Express Mail Service (DEMS) with the same-day delivery commitment.

Also, PHLPost said this is available in Metro Manila, Bulacan and Cavite areas only.

Those who want to make reservations may contact Dada Marquez, the chief marketing officer for PHLPost’s Mega Manila area via 0927-7790251 or (02) 527-0144 or (02) 527-0145.
