If they were “hot” during the last Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (Apec) Summit in Manila, seeing them sweat it out in their shirts, shorts and rubber shoes just made temperatures soar in that part of Canada and on the Internet where Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto posted a photo of himself and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau jogging.
A series of photos posted by Pena Nieto with Trudeau on his Facebook account on Wednesday, June 29 (Philippine time), has drawn 8,100 reactions as of posting time.
Popularly known as the “Apec hotties”, Trudeau and Pena Nieto jogged on Alexandra Bridge, which cuts through the Ottawa River, crossing the provincial boundary from Ontario to Quebec.
The Canadian premier was wearing black running shorts, a navy blue shirt from the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, and gray running shoes. The Mexican leader had on a neon green shirt, black shorts, and multicolored running shoes.
Pena Nieto is in Canada for an official state visit before the “Three Amigos Summit” with Trudeau and US President Barack Obama who will join them on Thursday, June 30 (Friday, July 1 in Manila), according to Canadian news magazine “Maclean’s”.
The Three Amigos Summit is also known as the North American Leaders Summit which will be held in Ottawa.
The Mexican leader dined with Trudeau on Tuesday, June 28 (Philippine time), where he said they discussed trade, as well as immigration, the same report said.
The Mexican president added that he and Trudeau also talked about mobility, diversity, inclusion, gender equity, rights of indigenous peoples, economic opportunities, and the environment, it said.
