Windows 10, Microsoft’s flagship operating system, will have its first major update as early as August 2, Microsoft-oriented tech sites reported.
A report on Windows Central said Microsoft’s blog site posted a headline indicating Windows 10’s Anniversary Update will be released August 2.
The blog post link was removed after a short time. No other details were immediately available on the Anniversary Edition, it said.
Another site, Neowin, said the partial news release may have been prematurely published, and “there’s a good chance that an official announcement will be coming very soon.”
“The Anniversary Update will include a wide range of new features for Windows 10, with improvements to just about every aspect of the OS,” it said.
PC World added the Aug. 2 date would be four days after the free upgrade deadline for Windows 10 ends July 29. (MC)
