Bad news for consumers of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
The proposed Comprehensive Tax Reform Program (CTRP) will have a “profound” effect on LPG because this would mean selling it at a higher price, according to Partylist Representative Carlos Zarate of Bayan Muna.
The lawmaker said that the increase in the price of LPG would result in, among others, an increase in the prices of cooking gas and of food in restaurants and eateries.
The proposed bill on the CTRP has been approved at the committee level at the House of Representatives.
