Marlisa Punzalan is vying for a Sony Music recording contract after making it to the Top 3 of this year’s X-Factor Australia.
The 15-year-old Filipino-Australian gave a solid performance during the grand finals on Sunday, October 19, the results of which will be announced on Monday evening, October 20.
Punzalan received a standing ovation after she reprised her audition song, the Beatles’ “Yesterday.” The judges also praised her after she sang “Stand By You,” which was composed especially for her.

It will be her first single if she wins the competition.
Her mentor Ronan Keating was all praises for her.
On Twitter, Keating rallied supporters to vote for the young performer.
“Come on Australia. This is your Marlisa. A worthy winner. Ya gotta vote,” he said.
