Resorts World attacker Jessie Carlos
The House of Representatives has resumed its investigation on the attack on Resorts World Manila.
The hearing on Wednesday, June 14, began with a presentation of the hotel’s CCTV footage of the June 2 incident.
The video showed split screen images of the casino table that gunman, Jessie Carlos, burned; of people running after hearing gunfire; and of Carlos himself setting fire to the casino area.
A fourth frame on the video was blocked because of its “sensitive” nature, according to an official of the hotel.
Thirty-eight people, including Carlos, died in the incident that police have ruled out as a terrorist incident although House lawmakers were not convinced.
