Stamp collectors can now mark the 150th anniversary of the Manila Observatory with a new set of commemorative stamps from the Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost).

The PHLPost said the Manila Observatory, established in 1865 by the Jesuits, was the oldest institution of scientific research in the Philippines.

It said the stamp will feature the iconic Manila Observatory building, the official anniversary seal and founder, Father Federico Faura.

Some 101,000 copies of the commemorative stamp printed by Amstar Company Inc. are to be sold at P15 each.
