Television host Cesca Litton revealed on Tuesday night that her wedding in Balesin Island Club in Quezon province was bumped off in order to accommodate the wedding of Senator Francis Escudero and actress Heart Evangelista.

“We went back to Balesin just last month along with our coordinator and stylist and did a second round of oculars, food tasting, planned table layout and sat down with managers to discuss logistics and rooming and again clarified that February 14 [2015] is available,” Litton said in a statement released through ABS CBN’s “Aquino and Abunda Tonight.”

She added, “It came as a surprise when I received a phone call from my coordinator just last Saturday that Chiz and Heart have been approved for February 14 after they have spoken to the owner Mr. Ongpin to reserve the date.”

Litton was referring to Roberto Ongpin, chairman of Balesin property developer Alphaland.

She said she and her fiance, Kyle Kalaw, made a visit in May and was told the venue was free on Feb. 14, 2015.

Litton claimed that they have already arranged the ceremony in a chapel, cocktails at Balesin sala and reception at Toscana village.

“We would not have invested time and money, including flying out our coordinator and stylist, had they informed us that the venue was booked from the beginning,” she added.

Ongpin admitted in a statement on Tuesday that he offered Escudero and Evangelista to hold their wedding at Balesin when he heard the news of their engagement. He insisted that no wedding was bumped off because there was no schedule on February 14.

Escudero, meanwhile, said that their wedding date and venue have yet to be finalized.
