Here’s good news — or relief — to owners of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro: Apple has finally released a software patch to address an issue that rendered some of the tablets useless after an upgrade, according to a report.

Apple rolled out Thursday, June 2, the new version of iOS 9.3.2 specific to the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, Apple-oriented site MacRumors said.

“The new version of iOS 9.3.2, build 13F72, can be downloaded over-the-air on any 9.7-inch iPad Pro that has not previously been updated to the latest version of iOS 9,” the report said.

It said the issue had bricked some iPad Pro devices after the original iOS 9.3.2 update was installed.

Apple released iOS 9.3.2 last May 16, but owners of 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablets complained of getting an “error 56” message, prompting Apple to pull out the update for the model.
