Police seized at least two kilos of shabu estimated at P360 million in a raid at a warehouse in Las Piñas City.
The Philippine National Police’s Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG), along with members of the Southern Police District and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), seized 72 packs of shabu (metamphetamine hydrochloride) concealed in packages containing dried fish on Tuesday night, June 13.
PNP Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa personally went to the warehouse along Tiongquiao St.at Martinville Subdivision after the raid.
Senior Superintendent Graciano Mijares, PNP-DEG chief, said the operatives conducted the raid by virtue of a search warrant issued by a Manila court against certain personalities with the aliases “Mr. Lee,” “Johnny,” “Sy,” “Jen,” “Luk,” “Jimmy,” “Pilay,” and “Tanda,” for violation of Section 11 of the Republic Act no. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The subjects of the search warrant, however, were not present during the operations.
