The first half of 2016 will end on a rainy note on Thursday, June 30, in much of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday afternoon, June 29.
In its 5 p.m. bulletin, Pagasa said this was due to the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas.
For Thursday, Pagasa said cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms would be experienced over:
* Metro Manila
* Central Luzon
* Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batagas, Rizal, Quezon)
* Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan)
* Northern Mindanao
The rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Also, Pagasa said light to moderate winds from the east to southeast would prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the south to southeast over Mindanao.
It added the coastal waters over the whole archipelago would be slight to moderate.
